Marketia White
Marketia, the founder of Mommies in the D since May 2017, has dedicated over 10 years to advocating for and serving students, valuing the potential of young people both inside and outside the classroom. In her leadership role, she emphasizes building a supportive village within the Mommies in the D team, prioritizing servanthood in their mission. During her leisure time, Marketia enjoys being outdoors, appreciating nature, listening to music, and spending quality moments with friends and family.

Mia Holton-Jones
Ms. Mia, a devoted mother of four and wife for 13 years, finds fulfillment in volunteering at her church, community, and advocating for black women in breastfeeding and maternal health as a BMBFA Mommy Ambassador. With a background in the Detroit Public Schools District and a current role in Parent Leadership/Advocacy in Michigan, Ms. Mia also serves as a Parent Leader for ERH, representing Black/Brown Families. Active in her children's school through PTA and advocating for special education families, Ms. Mia balances her professional commitments with a passion for crafting, enjoying movies with her children, and cooking.

Asia Walker
Asia, a mother of four with 20 years of customer service experience, joined Mommies In The D (MITD) in 2022. Impressed after one session, she transitioned to the administrative side, becoming the oldest mom in the class and a dedicated Village Leader. Ms. Asia's transparency about her life experiences, including being a proud breastfeeding mom and navigating co-parenting, adds depth and relatability to MITD's community.

Kimberley Wynne
A seasoned social and human service professional, Kim holds a bachelor's degree in political science and sociology from Villanova University and a graduate degree in human services/social and community development. As a resident of Florida and a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she is a wife and mother of two adult sons, one of whom serves in the United States Army. Recently joining the MITD Board of Directors, she is driven to utilize her expertise in family and child welfare, workforce development, and volunteer management to improve the organization's service delivery for both participants and volunteers.

Frank Pino
Frank Pino, a Business Development Manager with 5+ years in Tier 1 automotive suppliers, holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Oakland University. Starting as a product specialist for Dodge, Jeep, and Fiat, he transitioned into sales, successfully managing customer strategy and securing over $20 million in new business for his companies. Now residing in Harrison Township, Frank enjoys boating, racing, and ice fishing in his free time with his girlfriend and two pups.

Lucy Peters
Lucy, with a background in the arts and restaurant industry, co-founded Rose's Fine Food in Detroit, earning acclaim for its accessible, locally sourced menu and fair wages for workers. Beyond her successful venture, Lucy advocated for fair wage practices in the food industry with One Fair Wage and later became a licensed Realtor. Now serving as a board member, she seeks to give back to her Detroit community, balancing her passion for service with family and equestrian pursuits.

Aisha Brown
In 2022, Aisha became a valuable member of the Mommies in the D advisory board. Before joining MITD, she served as an Early Head Start Home Visitor for Matrix Head Start and coordinated the SHE program, offering mentorship and support for young ladies aged 13-21. A devoted mother of three boys and a puppy, Aisha finds joy in community work and cherishes moments spent with her family and friends during her leisure time.

Jade Harris
Jade, a Public Health Practitioner and Detroit native now living in Georgia, holds degrees from Wayne State University and Kent State University. Dedicated to Mommies in the D for two years, Jade volunteers to support young moms, appreciating Marketia's empowering work in providing invaluable information to the community. She commits to continuing her service as long as needed.

Devin Brown
Devin joined MITD in Spring 2020. As a Michigan Native, Devin has worn multiple professional hats, in Recruitment and Film Production. Dedicated to Mommies in the D for two years, Devin has lead the operational design and structure of Mommy Journey, while supporting programming processes and procedures. Devin is an avid hiker who has earned her Triple Crown, hiking over 7000 miles and enjoys spending time with her partner, family and new puppy. Her passion for community service and love for adventure reflect Devin's diverse and accomplished perspective, enriching both her contributions to MITD and her personal pursuits
